Mind and Destiny

“I make no pretension to patriotism. So long as my voice can be heard ... I will hold up America to the lightning scorn of moral indignation. In doing this, I shall feel myself discharging the duty of a true patriot; for he is a lover of his country who rebukes and does not excuse its sins. It is righteousness that exalteth a nation while sin is a reproach to any people.”- Frederick Douglass

In 2007, Blackwater USA, was a secret private military company based in North Carolina.  It was run by Eric Prince a very wealthy Christian conservative.

In a sworn statement a former Blackwater employee said, that Eric Prince: “views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe.”

Prince has ties to White House Strategist Steve Bannon, and was a major donor to both George W. Bush’s and Trump’s presidential campaigns.  He’s also the brother of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.

Before Donald Trump's inauguration, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan a crown prince of the United Arab Emirates, a Persian Gulf nation strongly opposed to Iran, arranged a meeting on Seychelles, a remote island nation in the Indian Ocean, between Eric Prince and a Vladimir Putin confidant to establish a possible back channel of communications between Moscow and the incoming Trump administration.
The Washington Post reported the UAE wanted to weaken the alliance between Russia and Iran, a move that would likely “require major concessions to Moscow on U.S. sanctions.”

NBC News quoted an intelligence source saying the Seychelles meeting focused on U.S. policy in the Middle East.
CNN contributor Carl Bernstein reported that during the transition, Prince met with members of Trump's incoming national-security team, and has boasted about the influence that he had with the administration.

A spokesman for Prince claimed that the meeting “had nothing to do with President Trump” but wouldn’t explain the purpose of the meeting.

If Trump officials knew of or sanctioned Prince's meeting additional questions would be raised about Trump's agenda for Russia and ties between Trump associates and the Kremlin.
