Mind and Destiny

“I make no pretension to patriotism. So long as my voice can be heard ... I will hold up America to the lightning scorn of moral indignation. In doing this, I shall feel myself discharging the duty of a true patriot; for he is a lover of his country who rebukes and does not excuse its sins. It is righteousness that exalteth a nation while sin is a reproach to any people.”- Frederick Douglass

Hillary Clinton

In our recent history the Republican Party has been stronger, and more unified than the Democrats.  Today, there is a lot of turmoil among Republican voters, elected officials, and party leaders, that needs to be sort out.

Trump has referred to the Democratic presidential front-runner Clinton, by the nickname "Crooked Hillary."  He said: "I think the only card she has is the women's card.  She has got nothing else going.  Frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don't think she would get 5 percent of the vote."
Clinton brushed off Trump's personal attacks: "I have a lot of experience dealing with men who sometimes get off the reservation in the way they behave and how they speak."
Clinton explained: "I'm not going to deal with their temper tantrums or their bullying or their efforts to try to provoke me.  He can say whatever he wants to say about me, I could really care less.  I'm going to stand up for what I think the American people need and want in the next president."

When questioned about Trump’s women’s card comment our former secretary of state simply repeated: “If the women's card means sticking up for women, deal me in."

As president, Clinton has a plan to produce good jobs and rising incomes.  As our commander in chief, she has outlined specific plans to addresses national security issues, to keep us safe.  Those plans demonstrate strong, effective, smart American leadership in the world.
Hillary has seen no evidence that any of the Republican candidate can meet the test.  She’ll let them fight it out, while she keeps talking about what she would do as president to make sure under her leadership those tests are met, and that our country will end up better off because she will have served.
