Andrew Reinbach
To my surprise, I discovered that a contributor to the comments online version of the Oneonta Star had used his own name.
Andrew Reinbach, who wrote: “Right wing radicals can attack Mr. O'Leary's character, and make all the snide remarks about him they want to; I notice they never question his facts, point by point. Why? They don't have any. The only thing the right wing project has given this country is the depression we're enduring, a failing school system, local governments that can't even afford to maintain their roads, and a party that refuses to help solve our problems because of lies it tells itself about the need to fight ‘socialism’. If it pitched in to solve America's problems, the right wing could be part of the solution; instead, it's much of the cause of the problem. Mr. O'Leary is merely laying it on the line, people; don’t complain about the facts.”
Onemoreofmillion responded to Mr. Reinbach’s remarks by writing:
“How in the world can you ‘Right Wing” when in NY the Left Wing has been in control of the Governors office and 1 house for years. Now they control all 3 and can't even get a GOOD budget out in time. On the Federal Level they have controlled both houses of Congress for 10 years. That is when it REALLY started to go bad. November 2010 AND 2012 are coming, and the taxpayers are waking up. Which way are the polls going for the Radicals in Congress and the White House?????????????? ”
I’ve pointed out that onemoreofmillions is incorrect in saying, that Democrats have been in control of Congress for 10 years.
By winning New York’s 20th. district seat in the House of Representative, on election day of 2006, Kirsten Gillibrand officially shifted the balance of power in the House. Actually, Democrats didn’t take control of the House of Representatives until January 2007.
Even today, Democrats don’t have control of Congress, because the Party of No has used the filibuster more times in the past few years, than anytime in history. Unfortunately, having a majority in both Houses of Congress didn’t ensure control of Congress, because Bush was threatening to use his veto power until he left office on Jan. 22, 2009.
